8 Week Challenge to Lose Weight
I’m taking an 8 week challenge to lose weight and learn to live well through clean eating and fitness. I’m really excited because I watched my best friend take this same 8 week challenge to lose weight and 6 months later she is still eating and living a healthy lifestyle. She’s lost over 40 lbs and she continues to lose weight, inches and gain muscle tone all over her body. Like me, she struggled with dieting ups and downs her whole life and I knew if worked for her, it could work for me too.
Why an 8 Week Challenge to Lose Weight?
I’ve have struggled with self esteem and weight my entire life. I can trace back to when I was a really young girl. I would see thin girls in magazines and on TV and I would want to look just like them. Fast forward 20 years later and I’m still that same insecure girl trapped in an adult body that’s borne 3 children.
I’ve tried so many different diets in the past that when my friend Amanda first started this 8 week challenge in the beginning, I brushed it off as “another diet.” It wasn’t until I went out to visit her and saw her in person that it really hit me, she was sexy, confident and glowing. She was eating clean food and exercising and she looked phenomenal. Her 8 week challenge had ended months ago by the time I saw her and she was still losing weight and looking great.
Sitting with her that afternoon really opened my eyes. She was healthy, she was confident and she wasn’t on just another diet; she was living a healthy lifestyle. Listening to her talk was just inspiring, she was literally glowing and full of so much confidence, more confidence than I have ever seen in her.
Now it’s my turn. I want to take to this 8 week challenge to lose weight and boost my own self esteem. I tired of feeling the way I do about myself and after seeing her for myself, I decided enough was enough, I’m going to take this challenge and kick start my new healthy lifestyle too. I’ve got my 8-Week Core Transformation kit and I’m going to blog my way through this 8 weeks and beyond!
The Hardest Part for Me…
The hardest part for me in this 8 week challenge to lose weight is going to be the before and after photos. Well, mostly the before photos… I don’t like pictures! Taking pictures of myself, especially right now is going to make me feel very vulnerable. I’m sensitive and insecure when it comes to my body so this is going to be quite a step out of my comfort zone.
