Here’s What To Do For Sore Muscles From Working Out:
Before I started the 8-week challenge I never worked out. So you can imagine the muscle pain I must have had when I first started! So here’s what to do for sore muscles from working out: Take a whole food calcium-magnesium supplement every day! Magnesium and calcium support your bone health and give you much greater muscle and tension support.
Whole food supplements are made from food, not synthetic ingredients that are man-made. Taking a whole food calcium and magnesium supplement is a lot easier on digestion. Our bodies were never made for synthetic ingredients and they run much more efficiently on a food-based supplement.
Supplement for Sore Muscles After Workout
I buy Rainbow Light Magnesium Calcium + because it’s food-based and very easy on my sensitive stomach. Rainbow Light Magnesium Calcium Plus is a 2:1 magnesium to calcium ratio. There is 1000mg of magnesium to 500mg of calcium. The bottle says to take 3 a day, I know that seems like a lot, but remember these are made from real food, not synthetic crap!
Sore Muscles After a Workout
Sore muscles after a workout are totally normal, especially if you’re like me and you’re just getting started. Taking a magnesium and calcium supplement like the one I mentioned will greatly reduce the pain you feel when you workout, not to mention give you the added daily calcium that you need for good bone health (especially if you’re a woman).
Should You Exercise with Sore Muscles?
It depends for me. If my muscles are sore but not sensitive to touch, then I still workout. If I touch the muscle and its very sensitive to the pressure, I won’t workout that muscle that day. Last week I had some muscle pain in my legs so I worked out my upper body and instead of jogging or walking, I took a bike ride instead. I still exercise when I have sore muscles but I don’t put a lot of stress on what is sore. If my arms are sore, I’ll workout my mid-section and lower body more and vice versa. Changing up the routine and taking the calcium-magnesium supplement greatly reduces any pain I experience from working out. I’m in this 8-Week Core Challenge for the win! I don’t make excuses – I make changes to the routine.
