The first day after my 8-week challenge to lose weight I got to have my first “cheat” meal. That’s what it’s called in the Core Community. I decided to make my cheat meal and epic one! I went to a Kansas City style BBQ joint the next town over. I take cheat meals seriously 😉
My First Cheat Meal at Dillions (Litchfield Park, AZ)
I took my two handsome men; my husband and our 8-year-old son Jeremy. My daughter stayed home and watched my toddler who wasn’t feeling good (so I owe her a cheat meal later). For my appetizer I had some killer BBQ chicken taquitos and Shock Top beer. For our main course I split the 4-meat plate with my husband; it had BBQ pulled pork, beef brisket, St. Louis style ribs and some burnt ends. It was FANTASTIC!
The Next Morning….
The next day after Dillions I was feeling fine. I thought for sure I might feel sick or weird but I didn’t. I woke up the next morning ready to do my workout, almost like I was on auto-pilot from the 8-week challenge. I got up, drank my shake and started my workout.
Went Shopping with My Daughter
Later that day I took my daughter shopping because we have two weddings to go to this summer and one of them is only a month away! We went out shopping and trying on dresses and I have to admit, it was a lot of fun! I haven’t been this fit in awhile and all the dresses were fitting me nicely. Then there’s my teenage daughter, who is beautiful in everything she wears. 😉
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day
I’ve been able to stick the Thrive Phase of the plan all week with out any issues. I worked-out 4-days this week like the program suggest and I’m still feeling really good. I’m looking forward to Mother’s Day tomorrow, I plan to use my weekly cheat meal a day early for this special occasion. I have a piece of cake I had to freeze in the middle of the week that I’m going to thaw out tonight. LOL I figured there was no sense in wasting perfectly good cake, so I froze it for my cheat meal!
In the Thrive phase of the program I get to go off plan for one meal a week. I definitely love living the Core lifestyle! That weekly cheat meal is perfect because it keeps me focused on eating right the rest of the weeks so I can really enjoy it.
